Gary & Johanna have known Kike (Enrique Agurto Lama) since he was 18. They met while Johanna was taking martial arts in Mancora 2006.

Kike has always been responsible and hard working. When they first met, Kike told Johanna that he dreamed of learning to surf and kite. Now, Kike has made it all happen! Not only is he an excellent waterman and teacher, he has created a fantastic kite school filled with talented coaches.

 

SLA is pleased to have the opportunity to team up with Kike and Mancora Kite Club so guests may have the safest and most enjoyable experience on land and in the water.

Mancora Kite Club was the dream of Kike, a local from Mancora. Having grown up on the north shore of Peru, Kike fell in love the ocean and all the magic it gives. He found himself in the water more than on land, surfing, kiting, or whatever it took to be in the elements. Opening a kite school was a natural progression to show off the shores of Mancora to the many tourists that visit this beautiful part of Peru.

 

Mancora Kite Club has been running for 10 years now and it is going from strength to strength with more clients and new kite programs every season. Kike is a big fan of kite wave riding on this spot.
