Sunset of life

Updated: May 19, 2023

Sunsets are stunning, calming, and symbolize the end of the day or life.

I love life and realize that I'm not yet ready to complete my journey. The news of a school friend's passing reminds me of the reality of death, which can happen at any moment. The phrase "you have your whole life ahead of you" loses its meaning as I realize I'm already on the second half of my life's journey, heading towards my own sunset.

Reflecting on the past, I cherish the incredible years filled with adventure, passion, love, and meaningful relationships. These experiences wouldn't be as valuable without the challenging moments, mistakes, and chaos. The present moment is the only reality, and worrying about how much time I have left is pointless.

Instead of locking myself away and succumbing to despair, I focus on finding my center, Breathe and find your center... breathe deeply, let your divine feminine talk (this applies to the boys too, we all have both aspects).

The mystery lies in how much time we have, while wisdom lies in making the most of every moment. At 25, I set a goal to paddle out on my longboard on my 80th birthday, inspired by an 83-year-old Peruvian surfer-grandmother. I aim to live a full and fabulous life like hers.

Living in the present, I prioritize my daily practices of yoga, meditation, and pranayama. I travel, share my knowledge with others, and cherish each moment spent with loved ones and friends. Every experience becomes timeless and precious. I stay strong, active, and healthy, giving my all from my mind, body, and soul. Embracing change, I practice kindness towards myself and all living beings.

Despite the ups and downs in the world, I choose to remain strong and grateful, focusing on what I can do. I make a promise to myself to grow and maintain gratitude in the time and moments that are yet to come. I strive to make each moment count, creating the most spectacular sunset anyone has ever witnessed.

I dedicate my thoughts to Martin Olivares, who passed away, thanking him for his friendship and inspiration. (Thank you Martin for the life saving orange you shared with me on the field trip to the beach in 1984) OM CHANTI CHANTI OM

Thank you for reading, I would love to read your thoughts in comments, Namaskar
